Symptoms |
|
No power is getting to the motor for the slipsheet rollers. |
|
Cause |
|
- The slipsheet "bin full" sensor has triggered because the bin is full. The motor powers down to stop the rollers.
- The SSR circuit breaker has tripped. Paper has jammed in the rollers, causing the motor to go into an overcurrent state. Reasons for paper jams include:
- The bin is full, but the slipsheet "bin full" sensor has not triggered so the rollers keep on pulling in slipsheets.
- There is an obstruction in the rollers.
- The rollers are poorly aligned.
|
|
Solution |
|
- If the slipsheet bin is full, empty it.
- If the circuit breaker has tripped:
- Check that the 24V safety loop is closed.
- Clear the paper jam.
- Check the "bin full" sensor by covering the sensor with your hand. If the sensor is working correctly, the green LED will light. If the green LED does not come on, replace the sensor.
- If the "bin full" sensor is fine, check the rollers for damage, obstructions, and alignment and correct any problems.
- Go to the back of the SSR unit and find the circuit breaker panel (see photos below).
- Reset the breaker.
