Background |
Prinergy contains pre-defined Dolev screen sets for use with Prinergy to Dolev 800 family connectivity. These screen sets are normally hidden to reduce clutter in the Process Template Screen System pop-up menu, and are enabled by editing the Windows registry (Prinergy Connect) or the config.txt file (Prinergy Evo). The screen sets provide Dolev angle sets familiar to Brisque users and allow for 7.5° angles, which may help reduce moiré on Dolev output. Use of the screen sets also relaxes a memory constraint and allows frequencies very close to the exact frequencies requested. With standard Prinergy screen sets, the memory constraint causes users who request 150 lpi at 2540 dpi resolution to receive a line frequency of about 141 lpi. The Dolev screen angle sets result in a line frequency of almost exactly 150 lpi at 2540 dpi. Note: The Prinergy Dolev screen sets do not use IS screening. In Prinergy version 4.1 or later, Dolev screen sets are only visible when the AM screen type is selected, not when the IS screen type is selected. |
