Background

This procedure describes how to generate a log file (LongArcive.cab), which you can send to your Customer Call Center (CSC) or Creo Response Center for troubleshooting problems with CS Xpose.

Procedure

Run CS Xpose in debug mode to generate a log file and then send the log file to the Response Center or CSC for analysis.

To run CS Xpose in debug mode:

  1. Quit CS Xpose.
  2. From the Prinergy workstation’s desktop, right-click the My Computer icon and select Explore.
  3. Navigate to the directory /Xpose/version/bin/.
  4. Double-click the batch file CSXpose_debug_mode.bat.
CS Xpose opens in debug mode.
  5. Perform the workflow procedures that caused the initial problem.
  6. Quit the CS Xpose application.

To send the log file for analysis:

  1. From Windows, use My Computer or Windows Explorer to navigate to the directory D:/Xpose/version/logs/.
  2. Copy the log file LogsArchive.cab and send it via e-mail or FTP to the Response Center or CSC.

Note: CS Xpose overwrites the log file LogArchive.cab each time that you start the CS Xpose application in debug mode.
