Operating system

Error

Can't install device interface

Symptoms

After you install CS Xpose 2.00.x + upd 3.2 and perform configuration, you cannot start the software and an error message appears.

Cause

The name of the Magnus 400 Quantum device is missing from the CS Xpose database.

Solution

To solve the problem:

  1. In the Machine Info window of the Magnus 400 Quantum controller, verify the exact machine name (for example Magnus 400Q).
  2. Go to: D\Xpose\Version\Output_config\ModelProperties.
  3. Copy a file from that folder, for example—Lotem400 Quantum, to another folder. Then rename the file to the Magnus 400 Quantum machine name that was verified in step 1.
Note: Make sure that the renamed file contains underscore instead of spaces—for example, Magnus_400Q
  4. Copy the Magnus 400 Quantum file that was renamed in step 3 to D\Xpose\Version\Output_config\ModelProperties.
  5. Open the ModelProperties.lut file in D\Xpose\Version\Output_config\ModelProperties in WordPad, and add the following line (make sure that it is not the last line and that there are no spaces between lines):
[Model name with underscore] and [Model name with space]—for example, Magnus_400Q Magnus 400Q
  6. Perform configuration again.
  7. Start the CS Xpose software.
