Symptoms

When exposing offset plates from ThermoFlex TIFF FE software on a ThermoFlex Narrow Hybrid platesetter or a ThermoFlex Mid/Mid II Hybrid platesetter, the exposed image quality is unsatisfactory, as shown in the following examples.
Note: The examples show the star in the calibration target file.

Cause

The ThermoFlex TIFF FE software was not updated with the offset plate parameters. Therefore, poor image quality was obtained.

Solution

1. In the ThermoFlex TIFF FE software, open the Production manager.
2. Click the Stop Engine button and then click Yes when the prompt: Are you sure you want to stop engine appears.
3. Click the Start Engine button . The ThermoFlex TIFF FE software is now updated with the offset plate parameters.
