Linking a customer dongle ID with a license

Before a license can be used, a dongle ID must be included in the license. If there is no dongle ID, you will see: Pending dongle transfer or The following license is still pending key data. It cannot be used until finalized. This procedure is needed when you perform a Controlled Release or Sales Upgrade that requires CFL.

1. In CTP feature licensing generator, locate the License Searching section at the bottom of the page.
2. Enter the device Serial Number and click Find.

A link to the license file is displayed.
3. Click Transfer.
4. In the Dongle Transfer screen:
   • Enter the Dongle serial number starting with C.
   • Select a Reason from the list.
   • Use the Comments field for any additional information.
   • Click Transfer.
5. Copy and paste the new license into Creo Feature Licensing Manager on the device workstation
