Error

In the CFL log in C:\creo\featurelicensing\logs:

• E 13Jun07 14:28:15.937: CFL Service ? 0 FLELWEb Temp path D:\Temp\is unreachable: The directory name is invalid.
• E 13Jun07 14:28:15.937: CFL Service ? 0 FLELWEb The directory name is invalid.

Symptoms

System is red in CFL Manager and CFL cannot communicate with the server.

Cause

Microsoft^® Windows^® Environmental Variable set incorrectly.

Solution

1. In Windows Explorer, check for a D:\temp directory.
2. If there is only a C: drive, go to System Properties > Advanced > Environmental Variables.
3. In User variables for Administrator, change the Value for both TEMP and TMP variables to C:\temp.
4. In System variables, make the same changes if necessary.
5. Reboot the system.

CFL should now be able to communicate with the server.
