Output Device Connectivity

Print Console provides device control for all Thermal Trendsetters, Platesetters, and VLF Flexo devices.

• Master Processor Electronics (MPE) devices use Print Console versions 1.x and 2.x
• Master Control Electronics (MCE) / Turbo-screening Master Control Electronics (TMCE) devices use Print Console versions 3.x
• Gigabit Master Control Electronics (GMCE) devices use Print Console versions 4.x

Print Console versions distributed in controlled releases

A controlled release (CR) is a package consisting of an output device, software, and firmware that have been successfully tested together. Print Console MPE versions 2.1 and later and MCE versions 3.2 and later are distributed as a component of various controlled releases.

While Print Console is designed to support all output devices, you should use the version of Print Console that is included in the controlled release for your output device and is known to be compatible with all other components. Find this information:

• On the Control/settings page for the device you are using
• On the Control/settings page for All CTP Devices

Print Console versions distributed as standalone products

Print Console versions 1.x, 2.0, 3.0, and 3.1 were released as standalone products before the introduction of the controlled release distribution system. They were designed for the following devices.
