Insufficient Memory Warning on Every TIFF Downloader Image

Product

  Print Console 1.x & later

Symptoms

The following error message displays on every TIFF image: Insufficient memory available, performance may be affected

Cause

The user’s account may not have the correct permissions enabled.

Solution

For systems on Windows NT:

  1. Run User Manager (Start > Programs > Administrative Tools > User Manager).
  2. Select User Rights in the Policies menu, and then "Show Advanced User Rights." You can then find "Increase scheduling priority" in the Rights drop down box. The users that have these rights will appear below and you can add or remove more.

For systems on Windows 2000:

  1. From the Control Panel, select Administrative Tools and then Local Security Policy. The Local Security Settings dialog box appears.
  2. Select Local Policies and then User Rights Assignment.
  3. Scroll down to find the “Increase Scheduling Priority” entry. Right click on it.
  4. Select Security, and then Add. Scroll down to find the account name that Print Console is started from (normally PCOperator). Select it, press Add, and then OK.
