Product |
Print Console 2.x | ||
Operating system |
Windows 2000 |
Symptoms |
If a media size is changed or added in Print Console, a notification message is sent to the GDAPI client (fpr example, Prinergy or Brisque) that the change has taken place. When the GDAPI client reads the media size data from Print Console in response to the notification message, it gets the old data and not the changed data. | ||
Cause |
The notification message is sent by Print Console before the new data has actually been saved. This is a known problem in Print Console 2.x. and has been fixed in versions 3.0 and later. |

Solution |
The media size data must be re-saved so
that the GDAPI client will read the new data and not the old. To do
this we make Print Console think that the media size data has changed
without actually changing anything.
When the notification of change is sent to the GDAPI client, it will respond by reading the media size data from Print Console - this time the new data will be read. |
