Symptoms

Cause

By default, Brisque creates tiled TIFFs. Print Console's algorithms rotate stripped TIFFs more efficiently than tiled files.

Brisque version 3 creates stripped TIFF files by default.

Solution

Note: This solution is only necessary if the customer rotates their files. The prerequisite for implementing this solution is Brisque 4.0.97.18 plus Output 3.

To change the Brisque to create stripped TIFFs. 

1. From a terminal window (login as root, ripro), type: cd /scitex version/progs
2. Then type: ./tileOrStrip 
3. Click O.K. and enter 2 for strip. 
4. Select Window close and type exit in the terminal window. All TIFFs will now be created stripped.
