Cropping or shift error when rotation applied without mirroring

Product

  Print Console 3.4

Operating system

  • Windows 2000

Symptoms

Incorrect cropping when specified with a 180 or 270 degree rotation with no mirroring.

Shift error when padding is needed at one end of the image.

Cause

The cropping problem occurs when TIFF Downloader is asked to crop and incorporate a rotation of 180 or 270 degrees without mirroring specified. In this case the image would not be cropped correctly.
Applies to Print Console versions from 3.2.0.11 to 3.7.0.8, fixed in 3.7.1.2 forward.

The shift problem only occurs when padding is needed at the end of the image in the around drum direction and the orientation is one of the following:
  • 0 degrees, no mirroring
  • 0 degrees, mirror along
  • 180 derees, mirror around

The amount of padding has to be a non-multiple of 16.

Applies to Print Console versions 3.2.0.11 to 3.7.0.8, fixed in 3.7.1.2 forward.

Solution

Download the TDL Crop and Shift patch available on the Print Console 3.2 and 3.4 Downloads page.
