Symptoms |
The Install shield software generates an error message when trying to run the setup.exe application using the installer CD. |

Cause |
The Microsoft critical update that protects Windows 2000 computers from the Sasser Worm causes installation problems for the Print Console 2.1 installer using certain versions of the Install shield application. |

Solution |
Install a controlled release update that contains Print Console 2.1.4.24 or later. If you cannot wait to install Print Console 2.1.4.24 or later from a Controlled Release CD (recommended), you can download version 2.1.4.30 from ftp://ftp.creo.com/Permanent/PrintConsole/PC214bld30.zip. The zipped file is approximately 170 MB. The password is creo. |
