Print Console, version 2.x

Trendsetter MPE devices |
||
Error |
The device <SCSI device name> is not ready for access yet. (adpu 160m)
This is not a Print Console error message. It is probably a Windows System Event message. |
||
Cause |
Windows 2003 and some Windows 2000 service packs have security features that restrict access to the SCSI device if you log on as PCOperator.
Solution |
Check the controlled releases available for the MPE device in question and update to Print Console 2.4 or later. Print Console 2.4 introduced a utility that changes access to the SCSI port so that Power Users can image on the device. This version has an operator prompt that lets you know if you don't have access to the SCSI port. The operator prompt cannot be dismissed. It will tell you that you need to run the Set SCSI Access utility. This utility will solve the access problem for users who are logging on as PCOperator. Users logging on with an Administrator account will not have this SCSI access issue. |
