Error

27008/43008:  The particulate filter is not present or upside down, the lid is not closed, or data cable is disconnected

Symptoms

The green light on the lid is off and the blower is not running. The lid plunger switch is not depressed against the particulate filter.

Cause

The particulate filter is installed upside down or is not present, or the lid is not closed, or the spring on the filter detect switch is missing or damaged, or the filter detect switch is malfunctioning, or the data cable may be disconnected (for POC systems only).

Solution

Cause 1:  The particulate filter is installed upside down or is not present.
Solution:  Ensure that the particulate filter is placed on the spacer and is level, with the open end of the filter upwards. Ensure that the spacer is in the correct orientation. In an L-option cabinet, make sure that the spacer is present between the chemical and particulate filters.

Cause 2:  The lid is not closed.
Solution:  Ensure that the lid closes securely, without using excessive force.

Cause 3:  The spring on the filter detect switch is missing or damaged.
Solution:  Replace the spring (#59-3845).

Cause 4:  The filter detect switch is malfunctioning.
Solution:  Test the cabling and/or replace the cables (#10-4939) and filter detect switch (#15-3431).

Cause 5:  For POC systems only, the data cable may be disconnected.
Solution:  Make sure that the cable is connected at both ends.
