Error

27009/43009:  The particulate filter is almost full. Please ensure a replacement filter is on hand

Symptoms

Cause

The debris removal particulate filter is almost full, or the NVS/software parameters are incorrect, or a brand new particulate filter has been installed.

Solution

Cause 1:   The debris removal particulate filter is almost full.
Solution:  Make sure that there is a replacement filter on hand. See the label on the back of the cabinet or refer to the user guide for the particulate filter part number. The filter will need to be replaced when error number 27010 is given. The time between error number 27009 and error number 27010 may be only a few days or may be months depending on the type of media, how many plates are run per day, etc.

Note:  Once the filter is full you cannot image plates until it is replaced.

Cause 2:  Incorrect NVS/software parameters.
Solution:  Type set debris or look up the UDRC registry values. Compare these values to the master reference tables on page 1 of the Debris Removal Firmware Guide - Parameter Values, Descriptions and Flowchart.

Cause 3:  The error message displays right after a brand new particulate filter has been installed.
Solution:

  1. Clean the debris collection nozzle, especially the small pressure sensing hole in the nozzle.
  2. Check along the length of the vacuum collection hose for small holes, poor hose connections, or kinks.
  3. If this is a UDRC-L (with chemical filter), inspect the top of the chemical filter. There should be a white filter paper just below the filter screen. If there is a leak in the particulate filter (blown gasket or puncture), the filter paper will no longer be white (its new colour depends on the media type). To clean the chemical filter:
    • Blow off the accumulation of debris on the chemical filter paper using compressed air
    • Reinstall the chemical filter
    • Check for an increase in the system flow rate.
  4. Check that the UDRC main power is plugged into a receptacle with sufficient voltage (200 VAC).
