Error

27021/43021:  The chemical filter usage sensor is corrupt or the chemical filter was changed and the output device was not reset

Symptoms

Cause

The chemical filter has been replaced, but the output device has not been rebooted or the machine has been rebooted without the chemical filter, or the chemical filter has been installed incorrectly, or the chemical filter usage sensor is corrupt.

Solution

Cause 1:  The chemical filter has been replaced, but the output device has not been rebooted or the machine has been rebooted without the chemical filter.
Solution:  Replace the chemical filter and then turn the output device on and off (a reset command in the software may not work)

Cause 2:  The chemical filter has been installed incorrectly.
Solution:

  1. Check that the chemical filter has been installed with the rubber gasket down so that it contacts the bottom of the pot.
  2. Check that a metal cylindrical guide sits in the bottom of the canister to center the chemical filter.
  3. Rotate the chemical filter 90 degrees to establish new contact points with the chemical filter I-button.
  4. Check that a spacer rests on top of the chemical filter, with the particulate filter on top of the spacer.
  5. Check that the particulate filter sits square to the canister, and that the foam gasket protrudes about ¼" above the rim.
  6. Turn the output device off / on to continue.

Cause 3:  The chemical filter usage sensor is corrupt.
Solution:  If the chemical filter has not been replaced recently, the filter usage sensor has become corrupt. You must replace the chemical filter to continue imaging. Replace the chemical filter and then reset the output device to continue.
