External Debris Removal Cabinet

Error

"10064 - External debris blower not connected or filters full - vacuum level 0 is below 5".
Note: Numbers in actual message may vary.

Cause

Cause 1:  If the cabinet is turned on within 30 seconds of being turned off, the debris nozzle vacuum sensor may not calibrate correctly. As a result, the vacuum sensor readings are too low and the above error message is generated. This problem occurs most often when a new plot initiates immediately after the 10-minute automatic shut-off.

Cause 2:  A piece of the plastic wrap used to package the plates may have fallen on the floor and have been sucked into the debris removal cabinet's inlet for cooling the vacuum motor.

Solution

Solutions to Cause 1

  1. RESUME - Responding with RESUME will allow you to unload the finished plate and continue. The error message will reappear with every new plot.
  2. AUTO SHUT-OFF - Leave the output device idle until the debris cabinet automatically turns off (approximately ten minutes). Wait another 30 seconds before running a new job. This pause allows pressure at the sensor to stabilize to normal room pressure before sensor calibration occurs.
  3. DIAGNOSTIC COMMANDS - From the diagnostic port, type <dr off> to immediately turn the debris cabinet off. Wait 30 seconds to make sure the pressure returns to normal and check with the command <dr> to see when the vacuum readings stop changing. Use the command <dr on> to recalibrate the sensor and turn the cabinet on.
  4. Any action that turns the debris cabinet off from firmware for 30 seconds before restarting should stop the error message by allowing the sensor to re-calibrate.

At some sites, the NVS settings for low stop, low warning, and high stop vacuum levels may have been changed to prevent the error message. If so, the settings should be restored. The standard settings for the one piece nozzle are:

  • set sys dbls 6
  • set sys dblw 10
  • set sys dbhs 30

Other settings that may have been disabled should also be restored:

  • set sys dbin 1
  • set media # abl 1
  • mask off 27

Note: The next release of firmware will eliminate this calibration timing glitch.

Solution to Cause 2:  Remove the blockage from the cooling intake.
