Error

HEAD: unsupported message

Symptoms

Unable to turn on the write laser.

Cause

• The laser mode (head lsrmode (laser_mode)) is set to an invalid value.
• There is an interface error between the TH1.x head and the host.

Solution

1. Change the laser mode (lsrmode) to the default of 0. This is the supported value. Use the following commands:
   >>set head lsrmode 0
>>nvs save head
2. Verify that the system software and firmware package are part of a supported, controlled release. For details refer to the Controlled Releases web site.
