Error

02334 Laser Power is Unstable

Symptoms

Banding, with or without error 02334 Laser Power is Unstable. The error can occur intermittently or with every plot.

Causes

• The head has just been installed and the nafion has not been connected for long enough to drop the humidity.
• The nafion is not connected or the nafion air line is kinked.
• The customer air supply is contaminated with water or oil.
• The device air filters have not been replaced recently.

Solution

1. Check that the customer air supply is clean and dry. This needs to be fixed before you hook up the nafion. Note that oil can coat the nafion such that it no longer dehumidifies the head.
2. If required, replace the device inline air filters.
3. Check and undo any kinks or bends in the nafion air line.
4. Connect the nafion and wait for 30 minutes.

If you still get error 02334, contact the RC. If you still see banding, continue troubleshooting.
