Perform an internal balance ( non-blocking ) and initialize the stroke table. Note that the monitor command ibs mode (initiate|query|abort) and the monitor command ibs balance [nocal] perform an identical internal balance. However the monitor command ibs mode (initiate|query|abort) performs a non-blocking internal balance while the monitor command ibs balance [nocal] performs a blocking internal balance. The non-blocking internal balance is intended to allow the host to perform an internal balance while executing other functionality ( i.e. initializing the focus ).
