All subsystems that implement monitor commands must register a table of monitor commands with the corresponding format and help strings. When the subsystem registers the table, the format string for each monitor command is parsed and verified. Since monitor command registration is part of initialization, this error will indicate a firmware development error.
| Note that the format strings are verified as follows:
- There must be a minimum of one token in the format string.
- There must be a maximum of ten tokens in the format string.
- The format of required and optional variable tokens is verified.
| The format of required and optional variable tokens ( optional tokens are signified with a '+' ) must be one of the following:
- "%c" or "%c+" for single characters.
- "%s" or "%s+" for null-terminated strings.
- "%d" or "%d+" for signed decimal numbers.
- "%u" or "%u+" for unsigned decimal numbers.
- "%x" or "%x+" for unsigned hexadecimal numbers.
- "%o" or "%o+" for unsigned octal numbers.
- "%f" or "%f+" for floating-point numbers.
