Symptoms

When installing Service Shell (Client or Host) a dialog box appears that prompts for the file Layout.bin.

Cause

This is a common error that occurs with InstallShield^®. In some cases, a cleanup on the extracted installation files begins before setup is complete.

Solution

1. From the Start menu in Windows, select Run.
2. In the Open box, type the full path to the installation program and append -a –deleter.
   This example shows a case where the Service Shell Client installer is located at C:\temp .


3. Click OK.

Note: If you are downloading from TechPlanet or the FTP site, you must save the installation program to a folder.
