Symptoms |
Files sent to Prepare sometimes fail to pass preflightng. Other symptoms such as Output Options are ignored and files are created in unexpected locations. |
||
Cause |
Prepare acts as a "conductor" of its helper applications by sending to and receiving instructions from these helper applications. It is possible for software outside of the Prepare workflow to interfere with the passing of these Prepare instructions, ultimately causing a mis-timing of events within Prepare. |
||
Solution |
Software, such as Norton Antivirus, that continually scans files and messages can cause these symptoms. Also, archiving software set for auto-archiving, server polling of the computer that has Prepare running can also cause these problems with Prepare. Remove, disable or reschedule such software to work during times when Prepare is not being used. |
