Prepare 2.1 supports Apple^® Mac OS^® X 10.3.9 and 10.4.x. Mac OS X 10.5 is not supported by Prepare 2.1.

Product description

Prepare enables customers to create known good PDF files that match the specifications (or directives) provided by their printer. Prepare automates Adobe^® Distiller^® to create PDFs, and then checks the PDFs against the printer's specifications.

There are three versions of Prepare: Prepare, Prepare Branded, and Prepare Pro. Prepare and Prepare Branded are for users who generate files for print production. Prepare Pro is for printers, trade shops, and publishers who receive files for printing. Prepare Pro provides additional functionality, such as the ability to create, edit, and distribute directives and verify files. Additionally, Prepare Pro can modify Prepare Branded to expire after a specified time, only upload to a specified InSite server, automatically update Prepare directives via the InSite server, and apply specified graphics to Prepare Branded's splash page or to a floating palette.
