Description:
nsrjb: error, tape label read, Not enough
space
AIX reports this error when the size of the read (NetWorker block size) is different from the device block size (as it's configured by smit).
Run smit and set the block size for the given device to 0 (variable block size).
The problem may be that the number of bytes NetWorker attempted to read from the tape was smaller than the block being read from the volume, e.g. NetWorker reading 32K bytes, block on media 96K. So the OS is trying to tell the application that to read this block sucessfully it must read more data. This can happen for NetWorker tapes because the block size for labels is always 32K but the block size when writing data can be larger than 32K.
