Legato - scanning a DLT from a specific file/saveset

Hi,
The following method can be used to scan a DLT cassete (in order to rebuild the missing/expired indexes)
starting from the first saveset that does not have a file indexes entries (cb =complete/browsabel. cr=complete/recyclable,indexes are missing):

mminfo -s ripro2 -av -q "volume=ripro2.archive.036" -r

The column before the last one displays the file number of the specific saveset,which name appears in the first column.

Then you scan the cassete starting from the needed saveset,using it's file number - in this case 158.
"nohup" is used to keep scanner running even when the modem hangs up. The output file is /dataVolumes/ripro2.6.0/scanner_36 .
2>&1 is used to redirect the errors to the same file.
Note:you must NOT be in tcsh !!!!

nohup scanner -i -v -f 158 /dev/rmt0.1 2>&1 >/dataVolumes/ripro2.6.0/scanner_36 &
