Caster is a nifty little utility that allows drag and drop generation of creator & kind resource forks for files appearing to the Mac as generic. Resource forks are often damaged when files are sent as e-mail attachments.

In this folder are several instances of the utility that have been configured for commonly used file formats. To change the resource for a “generic” file, copy the folder to your desktop, and drag & drop onto the icon for the desired format.

You can open CPU history windows to track how much processor power a process uses, and you can open logging windows for more detailed CPU and memory usage analysis, including the ability to save the results to a tab-delimited log file.

Note: Creo owns a site license for this shareware. Once you have installed it, choose Edit> Preferences and click the “I Paid” check box.
