Creating PSImages on Hi-Res EPS files having the Source Preview checked ON will create the dimension incorrectly in height and width. The amount that it is incorrect varies but on two larger files I have seen 70% reduction in size on a Bitmap EPS from Smart340 v 1.4.1 that was 21MB res 12, 89% reduction in size on a 4MB EPS from Illustrator. and a 96% reduction in a 12MB EPS made from a CT to EPS translation. Many files were off but at a much smaller percentage..... perhaps because I have only a limited number of really realistic BIG EPS's.
So far, none of the files that remained the same res (i.e. that started out as res 2.83) seem to do this, nor do CT's that are creating .e files (probably because they don't have existing previews to start with.)
I have sent the EPS file from Smart 340 to Steve Rothman. However I believe it is NOT unique to Smart 340 1.4.1 creation of EPS file. The bigger the file is to start with (Res & dimension) the more dramatic a % incorrectly sized the PSImage will be...so far it has always been "smaller" then it should be.
Workaround is to leave UNCHECKED that option as it is by default.
