- Smoke Detection System
Scitex recommends installing a
smoke detection system in the communication room.
The smoke detection system is used
for :
- Detecting smoke inside the
communication room and to initiate an alarm
warning.
- In case of fire, to operate
the fire extinguishing mechanism.
- The smoke detection system
should be suited to the security and safety rules
in force in the country where it is to be
installed.
- It is recommended to install
smoke detectors below the floating floor and
above the suspended ceiling (if exists).
- Inside a communication room it
will be necessary to combine both smoke and
ionization detectors. The smoke detector will
detect smoke and the ionization detector will
detect fire.
- It is recommended that the
fire extinguishing mechanism will be
automatically activated when both detectors have
detected smoke and fire.
- In all cases,the fire fighting
equipement should meet the local national
standards.
