Command shell file name completion

Problem

 You want to be able to depress the TAB key to complete the file name you are typing at a command prompt.

Cause

Solution

 Edit: HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Microsoft/Command Processor
  1. Double click on CompletionChar

or:

  1. Add value of REG_DWORD, set value to 9.
  2. Reboot.

Use the Tab Completion Auto-Update attachment to auto-update your registry with the above value.

Note: cd *xyz\*abc\ will work if it finds a match.
