Symptoms

Prinergy Evo fails,with an internal error, to make a Xerox Mockup proof to the \\CWR_PRINTQ\CWR_XEROX_TAB device on Windows 2003 Server systems.

Cause

A default setting in Windows 2003 prevents kernel-mode print drivers from being used.

Solution

1. Start the Group Policy Object Editor by running gpedit.msc in a command window.
2. Navigate to Computer Configuration>Administrative Templates>Printers.
3. Set Disallow installation of printers using kernel-mode drivers to Disabled.
