Considering the 3 phase approach and the planned timetable, first rollout is planned for phase 1 and 2 in Q2 of 2001, together with announcement of BrisqueServer as part of the Brisque family.
The 3rd phase (file sharing) should be timed in conjunction with CSPM rollout plans.

5. Configurations

5.1 Product Line Elements and Options.
The product line offering consists of a 19" Rack that houses the CSDD with two FC ports, Storage chassis for 60 disk drives, cables and connectivity (HBA).
The product has 4 basic configurations, and additional expansion options for more disks and the file sharing module.
The Single Traffic controller expands to 4 FC ports:

6. Site Preperation

6.1 Physical, Power & Environmental

We recommend that the machines will be connected to an on-line UPS (Uninterrupted Power Supply -6 KVA) to prevent an uncontrolled power down which can cause a data loss, and for stabilizing the power current.
The accessories will be defined in order to enable connecting multiple SDD oulets to a UPS.

6.2 Networking
The CSDD can connect to any AIX host with a FC host adapter.
The hostadapters currently approved are Emulex LP8000 with a firmware 4.0.18.
