How to Check

How to Check

To check the connectivity between the Brisque or CreoScitex Ripro Archiver or CreoScitex Ripro Server station and other stations on the SciNet network, use SciNet ping.

1. Exit and login as the CreoScitex application.
2. Open an xterminal and enter as root.
3. At the UNIX prompt on the Brisque or CreoScitex Ripro Archiver or CreoScitex Ripro Server (#), type in scinet_ping and press Enter.
4. Station Name is returned; type in name of station which is being pinged and press Enter.
5. Subnet Name is now returned; type in LAN (if this is the site configuration; if not change accordingly) and press Enter.
6. The Station [Station Name] is active is returned if there is connectivity.
