PTOP Connectivity

PTOP Connectivity

If scinet ping returns an error:

1. Open an Xterminal and login as root.
2. At the UNIX prompt on the Brisque or CreoScitex Ripro Archiver or CreoScitex Ripro Server, type:

lsdev - C|grep fst

3. You should get:

fst0  Available 04-04 on system Object.

4. If Defined appears instead of Available, this indicates that the PTOP server is not properly loaded.
5. Make sure that the LanC adapter is connected to the hub, and that the Link LED is on.

In order to reload PTOP, logout (exit) from the CreoScitex application, and then login again as cdesci.
