InkPRO provides you with a choice of three methods for sending digital CIP3 data to the press console of an offset press:

Method 1: Send CIP3 data using diskettes

Copy CIP3 data onto diskettes and send to the press console. The presses supported using this method are:

  • Akiyama
  • Ryobi
  • Komori (requires Komori PCC-2 Macintosh software)

Method 2: Send CIP3 data to a Microsoft Windows station that is mounted on an InkPRO Macintosh computer

The software and interfaces required to send digital data to the press console are supplied by press vendors, or by third-party vendors:

  • Press Vendors:
    • Heidelberg—CPC-32, which is also known as the PrePressInterface. CC-32 is compatible with all sheet-fed presses and the M-600 web press.
    • ManRoland—PPI-2, compatible with all sheet-fed presses.
    • Komori—PCC-4, compatible with all presses.

    • Shinohara—compatible with the 52IVP and 74IV presses.
  • Third-party Vendors:

Method 3: Send CIP3 data via FTP to "Special" CIP3 readers
