Make sure that the Machine Type on the PC controller is defined as either
the LotemFlex4045 or LotemFlex2630 to ensure that screen and plate sets are
correctly recognized.
New Features:
Version 4.0 supports MultiSep in one pass for each of the 4 separations.
Multi Sep and Step&Repeat can not be enabled at the same time.
Filter Option
The Filter option, which is part of Version 4.0, produces an outfile
file called Name.filter or in case of rotated files, Name.rot.filter.
This option is built into the software and is designed to obtain a clean
plate, without losing any data, particularly in the highlight dot area,
0%-1%, and vignettes noisy areas.
The ThermoFlex system, together with Brisque 4.0, eliminates unwanted
small printing dots (< 25 microns) during the exposure operation by
filtering out the small dots that have values less than 1% of dot area.
This produces an exposure with dots that are output at the minimum size
that the printer supports, thereby producing a clear image. The required
dot size is set by the Tone Reproduction curve.
Multi Beam option
This option is installed with the Upd_Brisque4_Flex (4.0.97.5) and
Upd_Brisque4_ExposeJRE (4.0.97.4) updates.
The FlexoTable application enables the service engineer to optimize
and clear the Screen Set from unwanted effects by determining the optimum
number of laser beams that the ThermoFlex platesetter will use to expose
the separation.
The FlexoTable application searches the table for the specific Screen
Set parameters. When found, it returns the optimal number of beams for
the exposure.
The table maintained by this application is saved locally on Brisque
and may be backed-up. When needed, the table may be restored from its
backup location.
This option is installed with the Upd_Brisque4_97_TiffArrange - 4.0.97.7
update.
The TIFFArrange option enables you to arrange multiple TIFF files in
a single layout by dragging one-bit TIFF files onto the Preview icon. Limitation: If the layout includes files with different
orientations (e.g., 0 and 90), more than one pass will be needed to expose
the layout, thereby increasing the expose time. To avoid producing more
than one pass to expose a layout, arrange all files using the same orientation.
