  • F50 - Wildcat (2 and 4 CPUs)
  • 44P-170 - Hammerhead
  • 6F1 - Condor (2,4 and 6 CPUs)

Operating system

IBM AIX 4.2.1 or IBM 4.3.3

Symptoms

Running the Normalize with CCITTG4 for Monochrome images causes the Bitmap TIFF file to switch the polarity and the monochrome image becomes inverse.

Cause

There is a problem with  Bitmap TIFF files embedded in the PostScript file.

The problem will be fixed in the next Extreme Version.

Solution

Set the ZIP Compression method in this option.

  1. In the Normalizer dialog box, Compression section, select the Compress ZIP option  instead of CCITT Group4.
  2. In the RIP window's HighRes Handling dialog box, clear the OPI option. The PDF generated from distiller or normalize has to RIP without OPI comments in the HighRes Handling dialog box.
