Macintosh front end does not work correctly with a Brisque 3.0.38s that has an IP address with .0.

Product

Brisque 3.038 Update CD 2

Platform

  • Macintosh
  • E30 - Victory
  • 43P-140 Tiger 1
  • 43P-150 Tiger 2
  • F50 - Wildcat (2 and 4 CPUs)

Operating system

IBM AIX 4.2.1

Symptoms

Macintosh applications do not work with Brisques that have an IP Address with .0.

Cause

The problem is that the Brisque doesn't publish its IP address correctly when there is a .0. in it.

Solution

If you cannot, or don't want to, change the IP address:

  1. From the Creo Launch Pad, go to Server, Preferences, Login setup, Add.
  2. Select Brisque from the list.
  3. Click OK.
  4. An error message will appear, click OK.
  5. The Brisque appears in a list with 00.00.00.00 as the IP address.
  6. Select the Brisque in the list and select Edit IP Address.
  7. Type in the correct IP address and click OK, and then Done.

The change is made to the Preferences File, so it will stay there until you have changed it.
