Symptoms

If you RIP a PostScript file created using QuarkXPress 4.1x with the Creo Color TIFF XT, containing a grayscale TIFF that is colorized with process colors, the grayscale TIFF disappears.

Cause

This is a known problem and will be fixed in a RIP update that will be installed on top of Brisque 4.0

Solution

  1. Print the file without the Creo Color TIFF XT from QuarkXPress.
  2. Print the file using QuarkXPress 4.0.4.
  3. Open the RIP window.
  4. Click the HighRes Handling button.
  5. In the HighRes Handling dialog box, clear the OPI checkbox.
  6. RIP the file.
