Symptoms

When trying to RIP with CT Quality set to convert the screen grab to the CT layer, the RIP will convert the high resolution images to low resolution images, even if the image (eps) is 400 dpi.

Note: In Brisque, on the RIP window—CT Handling dialog box, in the Screen Grab box, select CT Res to convert screen grabs to CT. In PS/M, on the Preferences dialog box—RIP tab, in the Screen Grab box, select CT Resolution to convert screen grabs to CT.

Cause

Screen grabs are limited to 2048 pixels/window, after which they are no longer identified as a screen grab.

Solution

  1. Open the image in PhotoShop.
  2. In the Canvas size width box, type a size greater than 2048 pixels.
