Product |
Brisque™ 4.0 | ||
Platform |
Operating system |
IBM AIX 4.3.3 | ||
Symptoms |
Pre-separated PDF files does not RIP correctly in Brisque; the RIP treats the PDF files like composite files. When you RIP a single-page process color job, the RIP creates four separate pages, one for each process color. |
Cause |
The PDF file was created in PDF level 1.2 format. Adobe® Acrobat® version 3.0 supports PDF level 1.2. |
Solution |
Ask the customer to recreate the PDF file using PDF level 1.3 or 1.4. Acrobat 4.0 supports PDF level 1.3, and Acrobat 5.0 supports PDF level 1.4. Acrobat Distiller versions 4.0 and 5.0 and Brisque version 4.x (Normalize window) support PDF level 1.3. |
