Product

  • Brisque 4.0
  • Brisque™ Serve 4.0

Platform

  • E30—Victory
  • 43P-140—Tiger1

  • 44P-170—Hammerhead

  • 6F1—Condor (2,4, and 6 CPUs)

Operating system

IBM® AIX 4.2.1 or IBM AIX 4.3.3

Symptoms

The Supra modem does not work after being installed in a Brisque or Brisque Serve system.

Cause

The Supra modem with firmware number SUP2312 does not work with Brisque or Brisque Serve applications.

Solution

If the label number is SUP2312, replace the modem with a new one containing the updated firmware.

If the label number is SUP2312 and there is a round yellow label (V3.1088Bb) stuck to the casing of the modem with the word OK written inside, then the modem contains updated firmware and should work correctly.

If the firmware number on the label is SUP2311, then the modem contains older firmware and should work correctly.
