Symptoms

Sometimes you are far from the Brisque application and cannot perform device configuration from the Output Device Handling window.

Solution

In Brisque 4.x and 5.x, you can perform remote device configuration. For example, using an emulation terminal.

To configure a device from the AIX command line:

1. Open an AIX terminal window.
2. At the AIX command line, type: cd /scitex/version/progs and press Enter
3. Type: pltConfig_con_dlg and press Enter.
4. A device utility opens. Select Device config [option 1] and follow the instructions in order to configure your device.
