Symptoms

When you select a User screen set for the Expose or Plate Expose operations, the names of the spot colors contained in current and future jobs that you expose, are added to the User screen set.

Cause

Spot colors are accumulated in a User screen set when you modify an expose template's screen set, and save the screen set without making any changes to it.

The following step describe this process in detail:

  1. Drag a job on the Expose or PlateExp operation icons, or right-click on a job's icon and select the Expose or PlateExp options. The Job Ticket Editor dialog box appears.

  2. Double-click the Expose or PlateExp icon.

  3. Click the List button. The Screen Set List dialog box appears.

  4. Click on a a User screen set to select it.

  5. Click the Select button.

  6. In the In the Expose/Plate Expose dialog box, click the Modify button. The Screen-Set Name dialog box appears.

  7. Click the Save button without making any changes to the screen set. The color separations that were used in the previous job are included the next time that you expose a job using this screen set.

Note: This problem does not occur when you select CreoScitex system screen sets because these screen sets are write-protected.

Solution

Cancel modifying an expose template's User screen set:

  1. In the Expose/Plate Expose dialog box, click the Modify button. The Screen-Set Name dialog box appears.

  2. Without changing any parameters, press the Cancel button.

Or,

Add a comment to an expose template's User screen set:

  3. Click the Save button.

Note:
This problem will be fixed with the release of Brisque version 4.1.69 onwards.
