Cause

In Brisque, the RIP setting Convert Vignettes to PS3 is selected.

Solution

Before RIPing the file, choose to convert the file containing the vignettes to either CT (continuous tone) or LW (line work).

Convert the file to CT :

  1. In the RIP dialog box, clear the Convert Vignettes to PS3 check box.
  2. Select the Vignette to CT check box.
  3. RIP the file.
The entire span of the vignettes (from 0% to 100%) is converted to CT.

Or,

Convert the file to LW:

  1. In the RIP dialog box, clear the Convert Vignettes to PS3 and Vignette to CT check boxes.
  2. RIP the file.

Note: If available, save the file containing the vignettes using Adobe Illustrator 10 before you RIP the file in Brisque. Files that are saved by Adobe Illustrator 10 produce better image results when RIPed in Brisque.
