Symptoms

The ImPress and ImPress 2000 printers do not work with Brisque 4.1.76.

Cause

The Improof update from the 4.1 Additional Update CD may not be installed.

Solution

Verify that the Improof update from the 4.1 Additional Update CD is installed. If not, install the update and do the following:

1. Download the patch impress.tar.Z and copy it to one of the disks.
2. Save the original Improof file in the directory /scitex/version/progs.
3. Expand the patch, using the following commands:
   • uncompress impress.tar.Z
   • tar -xvf impress.tar
4. The new Improof file is copied to the directory /scitex/version/progs.

The final solution will be included in the next Improof update.
