Symptoms

Spot colors do not appear on CMYK proofs sent from a Brisque workstation to a Lotem Quantum Spectrum device.

Solution

A patch was created to solve problems with Lotem Quantum Spectrum duotone jobs. You should download and install the Maridian.tar.Z patch (7.39 MB).

Prerequisites:

• Brisque 4.1.76
• Upd_Brisque41_76_1
• UPd_Brisque41_Output - 4.1.76.5

To download and install the patch:

1. Log out of the Brisque application.
2. Log in as root and type your password (ripro).
3. Type cd /scitex/version/progs and press Enter.
4. Type cp -p expose expose.org and press Enter (to back up the original file).
5. Download the Maridian.tar.Z patch to dataVolumes/example.1.0/.updates
   Note: If this directory does not exist, you should create it.
6. Type cd dataVolumes/exampe.1.0/.updates and press Enter.
7. Type uncompress Maridian.tar.Z and press Enter.
8. Type tar -xvf Maridian.tar and press Enter.
   The new files are automatically placed in the correct location.
9. Type exit and log in as cdesci.

Important: Remember to reload the patch after every software installation, including cold starts and loading the full version.
