Symptoms

  • When you try to create or modify a DCP Color Set, the Color Set List window aborts.
Note: The Color Set List window opens when you select Device Handling > Proof > Iris or Veris > Color Set > DCP Color Set.
  • When you try to open an ICC Profile window, the window closes unexpectedly.

Cause

A corrupt file in the Shared Items -> ICC_Profile folder is causing this problem.

Solution

To solve the problem:

  1. On the Brisque workstation, open the Terminal window.
  2. Type cd /scitex/version/SharedItems/ICC_Profiles and press Enter.
  3. Review the file list and look for files that should not be in this directory. Some files that are not recognized by the DCP Color Set can cause it to crash. For example: bad ICC Profiles, a file named Icon:xx, or files that are not ICC profiles but were copied to the directory by mistake.
  4. Delete the files that were identified in step 3. For example, to delete Icon:01, type rm -r Icon:01 and press Enter.
  5. Using the command in step 4, delete all the files that do not belong in the directory.
  6. Close the Terminal window.

You should now be able to use the DCP Color Set window.
Note: We do not know what causes the Icon file to copy from the ICC profile to the Brisque, but we know that this file causes problems.
