Symptoms

In Brisque 4.1, there are configuration problems when you install a Magnus VLF platesetter.

In Brisque 5.0.61.6, the configuration is OK but the expose fails without an error message.

Solution

Brisque 4.1:

Install MagnusPatch.tar.Z. This patch includes 6 files, of which 5 files are new and 1 file replaces an existing file. The files are located in /scitex/version/output_config/ModelProperties/.
Prerequisite for this solution:

Loading instructions:

  1. Open a terminal.
  2. Type cd /scitex/version/output_config/ModelProperties/ and press Enter.
  3. Type cp -p ModelProperties.lut ModelProperties.lut.ver and press Enter to back up the original file.
  4. Download the MagnusPatch.tar.Z patch to /dataVolumes/example.1.0/.updates.
  5. Locate the patch location.
  6. Type uncompress MagnusPatch.tar.Z and press Enter.
  7. Type tar -xvf MagnusPatch.tar and press Enter. The new file is copied to its designated location.
  8. Exit the terminal.
  9. Open the Config application on Brisque and configure the Magnus VLF.

It is important to remember to install the patch on the Brisque after each software installation (cold start and full version).
A solution to this problem will be provided in Upd_Brisque41.Output-4.1.76.6.

Brisque 5.0:

Install FP_Upd_8 to solve the expose problems.
